As a marriage and family therapist, I am passionate about helping individuals and families meet their goals, finding joy and fulfillment through positive family functioning. I value the family as a fundamental unit of society that provides crucial connections for basic human health and emotional wellbeing. As a therapist, I am committed to establishing an environment that nurtures families in their journey through struggles and hardships. I believe everyone has innate value, character strengths, and areas for growth. I see my role as that of a confidante and companion, walking with clients through their darkness, where they can make sense of their lived experiences and create a more desirable reality. My approach to therapy is person-centered and solution focused, combining elements of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and structural family therapy (SFT).

I grew up in Klamath Falls and take pride in giving back to my community. I have four beautiful children that are my driving force in life. I enjoy hiking, running, and spending time outdoors with good company.

A Favorite Quote:

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”

I am passionate about working with families, individuals, and couples to co-create change. As a marriage and family therapist in training, I believe that problems are created and healed in relationships. Therefore, I strive to create a supportive space where relationships can be explored and enhanced. It is important to me to counsel others with acceptance, authenticity, and empathy. I enjoy listening to clients’ stories and helping them take an active role in their own well-being. My approach is informed by Narrative Therapy and Existential Therapy, and I maintain a baseline philosophy that draws heavily from Family Systems Theory and Attachment Theory.

When I am not working, I am outside playing with family and friends. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, snowmobiling, mountain biking, and jumping on the trampoline with my son.

Cora Zambrano / Owner – Advanced Billing Solutions (ABS)

*Billing for KCS is outsourced to ABS

Cora is a wife and a mother of two boys. Her journey in the mental health world started over 12 years ago after years of billing for general dentistry and Endodontic services. Her drive to succeed allowed her to become the billing manager where she directly supervised four billing employees and oversaw the billing for an agency of 140 employees. She has complete knowledge of insurance verification, authorizations, credentialing and contract, coding, electronic billing, electronic claim files (837P, 835), payer regulations and requirements, payment reconciliation, denial management and end of the month procedures. In addition to day to day billing duties Cora set up the agency’s EHR system to electronically bill for CCBHC (Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic) services. She was able to take a forefront position with their EHR system and explain the needs of the system to meet the billing requirements outlined by OHA (Medicaid).

Cora has extensive knowledge in billing mental health services. She has billed outpatient, drug and alcohol, medication management, respite and residential services. In January 2018, after spending years working for the agency, Cora started her own billing company specializing in Mental Health. She enjoys the simplicity of billing for private practices and loves working one on one with her clients to meet their needs!
